KC COMEAUX was born in Louisiana and raised in Texas, which means his southern accents are always on call. He holds a BFA in Theatre from Stephens College in Columbia, MO, and spent several years working regionally in Kansas City, including with the KC Repertory Theatre (in a production of Into the Woods directed by Moisés Kaufman), the Unicorn Theatre, and the nationally renowned Coterie Theatre, where he originated roles in The Happy Elf, U:BUG:ME, and Life on the Mississippi. It's also here that he became a proud AEA member!

 

In New York City — here come the name-drops — his experience has spanned film (Lady Peacock), off-Broadway (Moisés Kaufman's production of Tennessee Williams' One Arm), workshops and new works (Lost Boy, Teeth the Musical, and Pumped the Musical alongside Autumn Hurlbert), cabaret (Boyband Review NYC), and background vocals, which you can hear on Kyle Taylor Parker's Broadway Soul Vol. 1. He even landed a callback for Boq on Broadway once — IYKYK, shoutout Craig Burns.

 

In voiceover and narration, he's still racking up experience points — but he's already lent his voice to the novel The Brotherhood of Time: Dawn by Cliff Pettibone (available on Audible), a Webtoon-sponsored animated short, Boyfriends by Accel Byzantine, which has racked up over a million views on YouTube, and a handful of voiceover spots that never quite made it to air (though the paycheck cleared just fine).

 

With a youthful, charismatic sound, he's looking to carve out a home in YA audiobook narration — especially stories on the queer side of things. As an '80s baby who rarely saw or heard himself reflected in media as an openly gay kid, that representation matters to him now more than ever.

 

When he's not recording in his hand-built booth (very butch, thank you), you'll find him enjoying beautifully prepared meals courtesy of his wickedly talented and handsome partner, singing a little too loudly in the shower, or pestering their senior dog, Ash, with pets. Oh — and there may or may not be an old viral video of him dressed as a clawed menace, dancing to Queen Bey.
